The MotoGP Japanese GP takes place this coming weekend, and it might feature conditions rarely seen this season – with rain in the weather forecast.
Jorge Martín leads the championship with a 21-point advantage over Francesco Bagnaia (Ducati). Naturally, if it rains, it will add another layer of difficulty to the challenge.
The Spaniard from Prima Pramac prefers to wait for more certainty about the weather in Motegi. In any case, he doesn’t think rain will be a major issue, although he acknowledges it won’t be easy:
– The conditions are always different. If it’s raining, it will be super tough, I think more for us because when you are battling for a championship everything has more tension or more pressure. Last season was raining and it wasn’t a big problem; I think Motegi is a good track, if it’s raining, I think the grip level is good. Let’s see; I will wait a little bit. Maybe we’ll improve.
