After finishing as runner-up last year, fighting for the title until the final round, Jorge Martín once again did not secure a place in the factory Ducati team – continuing with Pramac, where he challenged world champion Francesco Bagnaia, who is an official rider for the Borgo Panigale manufacturer.
Despite having the same technical conditions, the Spaniard does not have that status, which he does not hide his natural ambition to have. According to statements to ACMN quoted on the Motosan.es website, Martín stated: ‘If I haven’t shown my potential to be at the Lenovo [Ducati factory team] yet, I never will be in red’.
Nevertheless, Martín emphasized that he was very pleased with his performance in 2023 at Pramac: ‘We made history in a satellite team, and I am happy with the 13 wins. It was remarkable work. The goal was to be among the top three, and we did much more than that’.
