The MotoGP Aragon GP was far from positive for Fabio Quartararo. Despite an encouraging eighth place in the Sprint race, the Monster Energy Yamaha rider crashed out during the sixth lap of the main race while still far from the top ten.
Asked about what caused the crash, the Frenchman replied: ‘I don’t know. I tried to go a little bit faster, but I just lose the front. The grip for us this weekend was terrible every day, and especially not being able to use the soft rear [tyre] for us was clearly a disaster’.
Quartararo continued: ‘I just tried to push a bit more, I had [Fabio] Di Giannantonio in front, and I tried to catch him. Anyway, I just tried to find the limit and I found it quite quickly’.
When asked if the grip conditions worsened between the Sprint race and the main race, «El Diablo» confirmed: ‘Yes, it was much worse. And especially like I said we didn’t use the soft rear, that for me was able to hold on all the race. But it was not possible. Unfortunately is like that’.
