Jorge Martín is back to winning Sprint races and even admitted some surprise with the race, especially because he didn’t have the competition he expected from Marc Márquez, admitting that he doesn’t know what held the Gresini rider back at the beginning of the race. The focus is now on tomorrow’s race.
In parc fermé, Martín began by commenting on the race, without forgetting Márquez: ‘I managed to win again in the Sprint and I’m happy. Today I thought it would be much harder with Marc very close, behind me’.
The Spaniard was unaware of what had happened, and said that he tried to manage the race well at the end, and anticipated tomorrow’s race:
– I don’t know what happened in the first laps, I saw that I was increasing the distance a lot and I was trying to keep a very fast pace and when I saw that I had some difference I tried to manage a bit until the end. It wasn’t easy with the wind, it was a lot and it wasn’t constant, it was coming and going, but I won again and I’m super happy and we have to be focused for tomorrow because it will be a very long race.
