Paolo Simoncelli spoke to his SIC 58 Squadra Corse team about the spectacle at the Jerez GP.
The father of the late former rider Marco Simoncelli spoke about the intense battle between Marc Márquez and Francesco Bagnaia and the exciting atmosphere at Jerez over the weekend.
– At Jerez we’re talking about 100,000 spectators who were able to enjoy exciting, adrenaline-filled races. I’m still of the opinion that Márquez is an asset to the show, but this time Bagnaia was heroic, I hug him and congratulate him
He went on to say a few words about his Moto3 team at the Jerez GP: ‘On this winding track full of old and new memories, we also raced in Moto3, which has now been converted into a ‘penalty festival’… I’m happy with the races we did. Farioli and Lunetta had a difficult qualifying session due to paranoia and wet laps, but they made up for it in the race. The former started 13th, which made me discover a side of him I didn’t know. He’s aggressive, determined and precise even in the fight, I admit I wasn’t expecting it, but then he got to the front of the group he was fighting with the whole time.’
