One of the major issues for Aprilia riders in MotoGP in 2023 was the heat generated and not dissipated effectively by the bike, which created many difficulties in the hotter races. Additionally, there was a certain lack of consistency in performance.
Maverick Viñales, one of the riders for the Noale-based manufacturer, admitted that heat would still be a problem, but he has no doubts that performances will be considerably more consistent in 2024:
– I need to train more in the sauna, we are a little bit unlucky on that side. But the consistency will be much better. Last year already the last races have been much better. Of course there are tracks where we struggle a little bit, but after understanding the balance of the bike will be much easier for us.
