Marc Márquez remains unbeaten in the 2025 MotoGP season. This Saturday, the Ducati rider comfortably won the Sprint race of the Argentina GP, once again beating his brother Álex Márquez (BK8 Gresini/Ducati).
The eight-time world champion is naturally satisfied with his performance and the improvements since yesterday, but he doesn’t underestimate the upcoming main race: ‘Of course I’m happy, because we are riding well, and also because this weekend the feeling with the bike improved run by run. It was the first time that I found consistency in the Sprint race, because before the Sprint race I was very fast on some laps, but if you check the consistency, it was not perfect. And we worked on the set-up, we worked on the electroics, and now the consistency looks better. But for tomorrow I would like to take another step – it’s never enough because my brother was too close this time! But, jokes aside, I know it will be tough, because I’m expecting a very strong Álex and a very strong Pecco’.
As for the aspects to consider for Sunday, Márquez explained: ‘Here it’s quite important to understand the rear grip, the rear tyre, what it’s doing on the entry, on the exit, and that’s where at the moment I’m missing a bit the information’.
Although he doesn’t rule out changes to the bike, #93 emphasized that, if any are made, they won’t be radical: ‘Now we have a good base in electronics, because they did an amazing job. Now it’s small adjustments for the main race. But it’s time to play a bit with the set-up, which we already did – [Marco] Rigamonti has some ideas. Tomorrow in the warm-up you need to try the tyres, you need to try the set-up, you have ten minutes, and sometimes you get more confused. So, if we try something, it will be very small’.
