Brad Binder finished second in both races of the Qatar MotoGP Grand Prix – in the Sprint race, he trailed behind Jorge Martín (Prima Pramac/Ducati), and in the main race, he lost to Francesco Bagnaia (Ducati). In both races, he was not far from the winners.
When asked in the press conference if he believes that KTM is now closer to Ducati, the South African considers that something is still missing for the Austrian manufacturer, feeling that he is pushing to his maximum while the Ducati riders have something in reserve:
– I think the same as last year – we are super close. But we haven’t shown what we can do yet. For me I feel like I’m a little bit pushing at 100% all the time and I feel like they have a couple of percent in their pocket when they want to use it. I’m waiting for this last bit of help and then we try again.
