Álex Rins faced a tough task at the MotoGP Japanese GP, finishing far from being able to contend for a significant result, while his teammate, Fabio Quartararo, crossed the finish line in 12th place.
The Monster Energy Yamaha rider noted that there were common difficulties shared with wildcard Remy Gardner, but Quartararo managed to navigate them better:
– All the three riders were struggling with the same thing: low grip, rear lift. Maybe here Fabio had more contact with the rear on the braking area, maybe he has a better set-up than us – it’s many years with the same bike.
In light of the situation, Rins acknowledged the need for improvements: ‘I don’t want to find excuses, he was just faster than me and Remy. So, we need to find something’.
