Miguel Oliveira is for the second time in a satellite team in MotoGP. After two years at Red Bull KTM, he returned to an independent team in 2023, joining the CryptoDATA RNF MotoGP Team. Previously, he had been with Tech3 in 2019 and 2020.
Despite the results and competitiveness being below expectations in this first year with Razlan Razali’s team, the Portuguese rider maintained that it’s not a matter of the quality of work… but rather the manufacturer’s approach:
– I don’t think that could be a difference on teams, but there is a difference for sure on the constructor. Maybe… I don’t want to say power, but the constructor’s goals and phylosophy of presenting their line-up. We had four factory bikes [at KTM] and here we have two factory bikes plus two one-year-old bikes. That’s the way to put. Team-wise I don’t see a difference; I cannot say Tech3 was more prepared than RNF is prepared.
