Luca Marini embarks on a new chapter in his MotoGP career in 2024, becoming a factory rider for the first time. He joins Repsol Honda with the goal of contributing to the manufacturer’s return to good results.
In an interview with the Por Orejas podcast, the Italian commented: ‘I think I am the right rider for Honda, and I also think that, for me, Honda is the ideal team because it’s a dream, it’s like going to play for Real Madrid or Barcelona; it’s spectacular’.
That said, Marini acknowledges that he arrives at a challenging time for Honda and believes he can help them return to the top soon: ‘It is true that at the moment, Honda’s technical package is not the best, but with the experience I have in MotoGP with Ducati and with everything I can give to Honda with my feedback, we will fight to reach the podium again soon’.
