On December 14, 2023, Husqvarna Motorcycles announced the 2024 FC 450 Rockstar Edition. For this year, the 2024 FC 250 Rockstar Edition will also join the team.
In addition to the usual array of high-end components found underneath the Rockstar Edition graphics, the 2024 FC 250 and 450 Rockstar Editions also receive completely new frames with reduced frame stiffness to increase cornering characteristics and aid rider comfort. To accompany these new frames, they have also received suspension adjustments to better adapt to the new frames and improve their riding characteristics.
Husqvarna seems to be most enthusiastic about the new Connectivity Unit Offroad module, which you can see installed on the front fork, just behind the license plate. It’s very well hidden, but offers riders a new world of engine mapping, both preset and customized, once connected to the Ride Husqvarna Motorcycles smartphone app. It’s available for iOS and Android to cover a wide range of riders and their mobile preferences.
Other settings riders can deal with include traction control, engine brake, launch control and even gear lever sensitivity. The app also offers recommendations for suspension settings based on the characteristics of the circuit.
There’s also a GPS sensor to record the driver’s training sessions for future analysis. Having greater access to personal performance data can be incredibly useful when you’re trying to improve your times on the track.
Other choice features on the 2024 editions of the FC 250 and FC 450 Rockstar include Brembo hydraulic clutches and brakes, WP Xact 48 mm front forks with AER technology, WP Xact rear shocks, a multifunctional map switch to control QuickShift/TC/LC, an FMF Racing Factory 4. 1 silencer, black Excel Takasago rims, triple calipers with adjustable offset, 2K carbon composite skid plate and front brake disc protection, Factory Racing holeshot device, ODI lock-on soft grips, GUTS Factory seat cover with high grip and ProTaper handlebar and pad. Last but not least, the FC 250 and FC 450 Rockstar Editions are both equipped with lightweight 2.0 amp-hour lithium-ion batteries.
