Honda has announced that four of its products – the EM1 e: electric moped, the Motocompacto ultra-compact folding e-scooter, the BF350 large engine and the Miimo robotic lawnmower – have been named Red Dot 2024 winners in the Product Design discipline of Red Dot Design, one of the world’s most respected design awards. This is the fifth year in a row that Honda products have won a Red Dot award.
EM1 e:
Developed under the concept of creating an “‘ideal’ electric scooter for people”, the EM1 e: is an electric moped for personal use, equipped with the Honda Mobile Power Pack e: replaceable battery. The EM1 e: has a simple and slim package, thanks to the optimized layout of the main components. The headlights are made up of high-brightness LEDs, giving customers greater peace of mind when driving at night. The headlight has a simple, flush design, highlighting the iconic look of the EM1 e: model.
Motocompact
The Motocompacto is a modern, all-electric version of the Honda Motocompo, which was originally introduced in 1981 as a “trunk bike” designed to fit inside the Honda City. Developed as a “first and last mile” mobility solution, it was designed to be used in combination with an electric vehicle. The Motocompact has a sophisticated style that belies its simplicity. Its compact size means that it can be folded into an easy-to-carry configuration, making it possible to load/unload it from a normal B-segment vehicle and store it in a tight space. The design also allows for a high level of customization and adaptation to the customer through the application of stickers and other decorations. For more information, please visit Honda’s official website.
