A fast, economical, affordable and – most importantly – fun model, the full fairing CBR500R – launched in 2013 alongside the naked CB500F (now the CB500 Hornet) and the adventure CB500X (now the NX500) – injects a sporty energy of pure fun, thanks to the twin-cylinder engine of this low weight, medium displacement model.
Hugely popular with younger riders looking for a bigger bike, the CBR500R offers all the exhilarating handling of a sports bike, but with very low maintenance costs, making it a very suitable bike for daily commuting and weekend getaways.
Honda’s A2 twin-cylinder sports model gets a styling update inspired by the 2024 Fireblade. The power and torque of the 471 cm³ engine have been maintained – 35 kW and 43 N-m – the ECU reprogramming improves the acceleration sensation and Honda’s HSTC variable traction control system is now standard.
The very high quality bike features a 41 mm diameter Showa SFF-BP USD fork, Showa rear shock absorber and double front discs with four-piston calipers. The all-new dual LED headlight offers better visibility at night and the new 5-inch TFT screen allows you to connect a smartphone with the Honda RoadSync app installed; control is then via a simple, backlit 4-way switch.
This model is available from €7,675. For more information, visit the official Honda website.
