Harley-Davidson Japan announced six new models for 2025 on January 3rd. Among the updates, the sporty “X” series will receive the “Cosmic Blue” color on the X350 and X500 models. While prices remain unchanged, the introduction of this new color promises to revitalize the brand’s image.
A fresh face for Harley-Davidson
The X350 and X500 models were launched in Japan in October 2023 and have been drawing attention for challenging Harley-Davidson’s traditional heavy cruiser image. The lightweight and agile X350, a compact tracker-style naked bike, stands out as the only Harley that can be ridden with a regular motorcycle license, making it more accessible to new riders. The water-cooled parallel-twin engine delivers 36 HP at 8,500 rpm, and the large-diameter inverted suspension and 17-inch wheels ensure sporty handling.
On the other hand, the X500 features an American roadster style with cut fenders and Sportster-inspired lighting motifs, combined with modern technology optimized for urban riding. With a 500cc engine delivering 47 HP at 8,500 rpm, this model offers a relaxed ride and retro style. Although it requires a large motorcycle license, it’s a popular choice among those seeking a more relaxed riding experience.
New colors for 2025
While no significant specification changes were made to the models for 2024, the color lineup has been updated for 2025. The new Cosmic Blue color replaces the previous “Supersonic Silver,” joining the existing “Dramatic Black,” “Dynamic Orange,” and “Pearl White.” This change brings new energy to the lineup while maintaining the models’ modern and vibrant appeal.
