Ducati has been the benchmark and dominator in MotoGP for some years now and that’s exactly what the team is aiming for in 2025. Gigi Dall’Igna didn’t shy away from underlining this during the team’s presentation, although he warned that improving on what happened last year would be impossible.
The Managing Director of Ducati Corse recalled how impactful last year’s results were: ‘Success is something very light to carry and it’s something very beautiful and last year was historic, we’re very proud. There were a lot of emotions and feelings last year, an incredible year and the results speak for themselves’.
Asked if it was possible to improve on the records and figures achieved in 2024, the Italian was reticent, but very clear in his vows: ‘I think it’s complicated and maybe even impossible, and maybe it’s impossible to improve on last year, but we can improve ourselves, that’s for sure, so we can reach the goals, the final goals we have, to win the riders’ and constructors’ titles’.
He went on to explain: ‘It’s not important to do better than last year, I don’t think so. The important thing is to win. Winning everything sometimes means you’re not the best driver, but that’s the goal we have, to win both championships’.
