About a year after suffering a complicated injury in Portimão, Enea Bastianini returned to the circuit at the 2024 MotoGP Portuguese GP to finish second. A sort of redemption, achieved after a race where he was always fighting for podium positions.
The performance of the Italian Ducati rider earned praise from the team’s general manager, Gigi Dall’Igna. The executive wrote in his usual column published on Linkedin:
– Grit and determination for a very worthwhile result. It was most important for him to be up there at the front in this race, he needed it, even more so being on a track that he felt his own. We are at the beginning of the season and, without any doubt, this second place counts as a win.
