This morning, the continuity of Pedro Acosta with KTM in MotoGP was announced, but from 2025 onwards, it will be with Red Bull KTM – he made his debut this year with the satellite team Red Bull GasGas Tech3.
Despite the strong synergies between the two teams of the Pierer Mobility group, the real factory rider status is only achieved at Red Bull KTM – where the Spanish rookie will partner with Brad Binder from 2025 onwards.
Acosta spoke in a statement about this new contract with KTM, admitting that considering his connection to the manufacturer and the dedication he sees in Mattighofen justifies his renewal:
– It was important to me to keep pushing with KTM, and to see the whole project and the story until now and how we have grown in racing. So, it’s nice to carry on for the future: getting in orange is like coming back home. The way they are pushing and improving in the last couple of years is what is also pushing me to stay for the next couple of years.
So far, despite being a rookie, the Moto3 and Moto2 world champion has consistently been the best KTM on track, including ahead of Binder and Jack Miller, tallying two podiums in six rounds.
