KTM has today revealed its latest flagship adventure motorcycle, the 2025 1390 Super Adventure S, setting new standards in the sports adventure segment. The new model presents a significant array of technological and mechanical updates, reaffirming the Austrian brand’s position at the forefront of motorcycle innovation.
At the heart of this new machine lies an enlarged 1,350 cc engine, producing an impressive 173 horsepower at 9,500 rpm and 145 Nm of torque at 8,000 rpm. One of the key innovations is the introduction of CAMSHIFT technology, a variable valve timing system that uses two distinct cam profiles, optimizing performance at both low and high revs.
The new Super Adventure S maintains the brand’s tradition by offering a manual transmission with conventional clutch, a feature particularly appreciated by purists. The frame has been redesigned for greater rigidity, improving stability in all conditions, complemented by an optimized riding position with footpegs positioned 8 mm lower and 10 mm wider.
In terms of suspension, the motorcycle is equipped with WP’s latest semi-active system, incorporating new PWM sensors and an innovative through-rod fork construction, providing more precise behavior especially at higher frequencies.
Onboard technology has also taken a significant leap forward with the introduction of the new V80 TFT dashboard with vertical touchscreen, featuring anti-glare and anti-fingerprint coatings, maintaining functionality even with winter gloves. Optional equipment includes the fifth generation of the front radar system, which includes brake assistance and collision and distance warnings.
The aesthetic renovation hasn’t been forgotten, with new bodywork, redesigned LED headlight and updated windshield, plus increased storage capacity. Arrival at dealerships is expected in early 2025.
