Franco Morbidelli’s participation in the MotoGP Sepang Tests isn’t yet a certainty, as the team ‘has decided to postpone the evaluation for a few additional days’, following the rider’s condition.
The (new) Pramac Racing rider was found ‘unconscious’ by Marc and Álex Márquez, in Portimão where the athletes were testing alongside the WSBK in the portuguese track and, despite the CT scans didn’t show any major problem, the team has decided to be more cautious regarding the #21’s health.
On social media, Pramac gave a few more updates on the matter: ‘We would like to provide you with an update regarding Franco Morbidelli’s medical assessment. The medical team has decided to postpone the evaluation for a few additional days’.
And explained then why it has decided to do so: ‘This delay is intended to allow for a more comprehensive understanding of his fitness and to determine his eligibility for participation in the upcoming scheduled test days’.
Sepang will host three days of tests, from 6th to 8th of february.
