Franco Morbidelli is clearly on the rise in MotoGP. After missing pre-season due to an injury suffered in January, the rider had to adapt to the Ducati Desmosedici GP24 and the Prima Pramac Racing team, and he is starting to see the results of that process.
His upward trajectory was interrupted just over a week ago at the Dutch GP, but it resumed this weekend at the German GP, where he achieved his best result of the year so far by finishing fifth in the main race.
Highlighting his good performance is the fact that he managed to hold second place for several laps before fading in the final stages of the race. In any case, Morbidelli emphasized that he is confident in his ability to fight for the top positions, although he acknowledges that something is still missing to reach the podium:
– I can do it. I was out of the battle for the top five in Assen, it was a difficult track for us. But since Barcelona I can do it. For sure if I didn’t do it, it means that I’m missing something, but I’ll work.
