Pedro Acosta is one of the hot topics in MotoGP these days. The rookie stood out in the Sepang tests, being among the top ten fastest riders over the three days, and was one of those who lapped below the official circuit record.
Two-time champion Francesco Bagnaia was on track close to the Red Bull GasGas Tech3 Spanish rider. Although he couldn’t draw conclusions about the new rival, the Ducati rider revealed that he witnessed an error by Acosta:
