Francesco Bagnaia achieved victory in the MotoGP Italian Grand Prix. This is his second consecutive win this season and third at Mugello, in a weekend where he also won the Sprint race. Ducati, racing in blue with a special livery for the home round, secured a one-two finish.
Jorge Martín (Prima Pramac/Ducati) had a good start and maintained the lead heading into the first corner. However, Bagnaia (Ducati) was even stronger and quickly took the lead. Enea Bastianini (Ducati) was in third place, followed by Marc Márquez (Gresini/Ducati).
In the early stages of the race, Bagnaia managed to build a small gap in the lead. Marc Márquez and Pedro Acosta (Red Bull GasGas Tech3/KTM) had another duel, this time for fourth place, in pursuit of the third-placed Bastianini.

In a long race of 24 laps, the riders also had to consider pace and tyre management. Positions stabilized in the top five, with several laps passing without direct duels or overtaking attempts.
In fourth place, Márquez seemed to have some issue with the rear of the bike, as it emitted smoke upon entering the main straight. However, this didn’t seem to affect performance, as the rider kept the pressure on Bastianini.
At the beginning of lap 18, Márquez launched an attack on Bastianini heading into turn one and completed the overtake. Now, he had Martín more than a second ahead of him.

During much of the race, Bagnaia had the lead under control and secured a clear victory at Mugello. Martín not only failed to keep up, but also lost second place right at the end.
On the penultimate lap, Bastianini regained third place from Márquez and then launched an attack on Martín to ultimately secure second place and offer a one-two finish for the Ducati factory team.
