Francesco Bagnaia led the warm-up of the MotoGP Japanese GP. This Sunday morning session in Motegi served to fine-tune the final details for the race, so lap times were not the priority.
After the first flying laps, Jorge Martín (Prima Pramac/Ducati) was leading, and throughout the session, he swapped positions at the front with Bagnaia. After seven minutes, the Italian set the best time with a 1m44.359s.
Martín improved but was just five-thousandths of a second behind in second, while Enea Bastianini (Ducati) set his best time on his final attempt to finish third.
Pedro Acosta (Red Bull GasGas Tech3/KTM) finished fourth. The top five was completed by Marc Márquez (Gresini/Ducati), with the eight-time world champion 0.258s off the lead.
