Jorge Martín heads into the MotoGP Thailand GP with a 17-point lead over Francesco Bagnaia (Ducati) in the championship standings.
With only two rounds remaining, he could potentially clinch the title next weekend at the Malaysian GP.
With 37 points available over a single race weekend, the Prima Pramac rider will secure the championship at Sepang if he gains at least 21 points over Bagnaia, establishing a 38-point lead before the final GP in Valencia.
While the theoretical possibility exists, it will be challenging to achieve given the close competition between the two title contenders – despite Bagnaia’s clear edge in main race victories.
