Ducati played ahead of everybody else looking at 2025 and made the first move for next season – other than what was already known before, with riders that already renewed.
After all talks regarding Fermín Aldeguer, at the end of 2023, the Borgo Panigale manufacturer actually got to secure the rider for next season to the main category but, looking at the results, he isn’t going his best moment. So far the 19-year-old spaniard had as best result a win at the Spanish GP, after stunning everyone with four wins in a row last year.
First and foremost there is no news regarding what team, if any, in which he will ride, with the majority of rumours to point to a place at Pramac Racing, but the italian structure is as it is known, still debating wether to accept Ducati’s invitation or becoming satellite for Yamaha.
Either way and looking solely at the performance on track, Aldeguer isn’t doing fantastic… just like he didn’t at the same stage of 2023, but maintaining the consistency is also super difficult, with the rider to make a few mistakes already in the races that earned him penalties that delayed him.
All eyes are on the rider and whatever happens the possibility of him being in MotoGP for 2025 is still the highest.
