Fermín Aldeguer may indeed be on his way to MotoGP as early as 2025. Rumors emerged earlier this year about a contract with Ducati, which are now gaining momentum. The initial destination would be Pramac, as happened before with successful examples such as Francesco Bagnaia and Jorge Martín.
According to the website Motosan.es, which cites sources close to the rider, the contract is for four years – an unusual duration in MotoGP nowadays. Aldeguer would start at Prima Pramac Racing with a Factory Ducati next year, racing the first two seasons with the satellite team before moving up to the factory team for the remaining two years of the contract.
In the last few days, El Periodico newspaper reported that Aldeguer was at Ducati’s headquarters last week to sign. For now, there is still no confirmation from the Borgo Panigale manufacturer or the rider. If the signing goes through, it would be a continuation of Ducati’s commitment to young talents, a paradigm shift that has already produced results. As for Aldeguer, he may be about to start his final season in Moto2, where he will aim for the championship.
