Since 2021, Álex Rins has firsthand experience with parenthood. He is one of the MotoGP riders who already has children. But does this influence performance on the track?
The Marca newspaper questioned the Spanish rider – who is joining Monster Energy Yamaha – about whether fatherhood contributes to stability as a rider. Rins didn’t hesitate in his response, stating:
– For sure. But not to being slower as some riders who have no children claim. In the races near to Andorra, you disconnect more. I’m lucky that my family comes, and it even helps me focus more on performing well.
