Fabio Di Giannatonio will return to his bike in this Aragon GP and to do so he did all he could as he himself confessed as ‘watching a race from the sofa at home is never a good situation’, even more for a rider. He is a ‘last check’ away from returning fully.
In a team statement the rider, who renewed with VR46 Racing Team recently had a lot to do in the past weeks: ‘It was a very busy week between medical checks, training and physiotherapy. I have recovered, I feel better, but I don’t know exactly what the sensations will be on the bike’.
Despite not being at his best, he also recalled that watching a race from where he was – not on his bike – isn’t ideal: ‘In terms of arm mobility, I would say we are there, but we will work until the end in terms of strength. Watching a race from the sofa at home is never a good situation for a rider, we have done everything possible to get back on the bike as soon as possible’.
And concluded: ‘We are just waiting for the last check to be able to fully concentrate on the race weekend on the one of the most particular tracks on the calendar’.
