After undergoing shoulder surgery following the Thai GP, Fabio Di Giannantonio missed the final two rounds of the MotoGP season in Malaysia and Barcelona.
Despite this, he attended the Catalan circuit to support the Pertamina Enduro VR46 team during the test day, even though he couldn’t ride and had to watch the other riders working on track.
Di Giannantonio assured that dealing with this forced absence wasn’t too hard since he was focused on his shoulder treatment. However, he admitted it was harder to detach himself emotionally while being at the circuit:
– It was quite easy at home, honestly. Yes, for sure, I was suffering because I wanted to race, but you are at home, and you know what you are doing. I was also dizzy with all the things of the shoulder. When I’m here, I’m more involved, it’s different.
