Jorge Martín’s future is one of the hot topics in MotoGP. The rider is leading the championship and has legitimate ambitions to join the factory Ducati team – a position he didn’t secure even after finishing as runner-up in 2023.
In the press conference after his victory at the French GP, the Spaniard was asked if he believes the Borgo Panigale manufacturer will overlook him again. Martín responded:
– People ask me about this all the time. I don’t want to talk about it. I think even if I win here or if I win in Montmelò or not, I’m the same rider, the same guy, so it won’t change the decision let’s say. Whatever it comes, it will be good.
In addition to Martín, two other riders are seen as top contenders for the spot at Ducati: Enea Bastianini, who currently holds the position, and Marc Márquez, who joined Gresini this year.
