Eric Granado was the fastest in the first MotoE practice session at Mugello this morning. The Italian GP is the fifth round of the electric motorcycle championship season.
In the first five minutes, four riders led: Massimo Roccoli (Ongetta SIC58 Squadra Corse), Andrea Mantovani (Klint Forward), Nicholas Spinelli (Tech3 E-Racing), and Alessio Finello, who topped the timesheets after all the initial laps.
Mantovani regained the lead and held it for about four minutes before being overtaken by Mattia Casadei (Felo Gresini). However, 11 seconds later, Alessandro Zaccone (Tech3 E-Racing) set a faster time.
In his final laps, Granado (LCR E-Team) took the top spot, setting the best time at 1m57.873s. Miquel Pons (Axxis-MSi) finished second, 0.072s behind, followed by Héctor Garzó (Dynavolt Intact GP).
Finello and Zaccone completed the top five in a session where three riders exceeded 105 percent of the best lap: Chaz Davies (Aruba Cloud MotoE), María Herrera (Klint Forward), and Armando Pontone (Aruba Cloud MotoE).
