Fifth in the long race of the Australian GP, Enea Bastianini was not at all happy with how things went today, especially after the good indications yesterday during the Sprint and today during the opening session of the day at Phillip Island.
The factory Ducati rider even said that he was frustrated because nothing went as he had planned: ‘I’m a little frustrated because looking at yesterday’s Sprint and also the Warm Up I was confident of doing a great race and a different start’.
In addition, he was close to crashing on several occasions, further increasing his bad feeling about the race, forcing him to adapt his posture:
. The front of the bike was strange and I avoided crashes many times because, many times, in the middle of the corner I lost the front on every lap, and in the end I preferred not to take too many risks and wait to see if something changed but it was like that throughout the whole race, and only in the last two laps I tried to do something more because we weren’t in the group and it was important to get some points. In the end I was fifth but I can’t be happy.
