Fermín Aldeguer was announced in March as a Ducati rider in MotoGP from 2025, being placed in a satellite team. So far there has been no confirmation as to which team this will be, not least because it is believed that Prima Pramac may move to Ducati.
This would affect the supply of the latest version of the bike. On the other hand, his results this season have been far from encouraging – just two podiums (one of them a win) in seven rounds, while with a similar bike Sergio García leads the championship.
What if Ducati ends up going back and not putting Aldeguer in MotoGP in 2025? Héctor Faubel, the rider’s manager, told Mundo Deportivo that the compensation would be huge: ‘It’s been reported that if Ducati tells him he won’t be on the bike next year, he’ll receive compensation of 300,000 euros. That’s a lie. I can’t say the amount, but it would be much higher’.
In any case, the manager said that he has received assurances from Ducati that there is no need to worry: ‘We still don’t know which team he’ll be racing for, but Ducati has told us to be very calm. They’ve told us that they’re betting on him and that we’re from home’.
