The MXGP World Motocross Championship concludes this weekend, and for the second time, a Ducati Desmo450 MX will be competing – now with Alessandro Lupino participating in the MXGP of Castilla La Mancha.
Last August, the Borgo Panigale manufacturer made its debut in the championship, with Tony Cairoli racing in the Dutch MXGP. On the sand track of Arnhem, the veteran Italian rider left a strong impression.
Now, it’s Lupino’s turn to race in MXGP, preparing for Ducati’s full-time debut next year. The rider has also been competing in the Italian championship, where he currently leads with a 338-point advantage.
After many successes on speed tracks, Ducati is now venturing into motocross, aiming to achieve similar victories with this new project. Recently, Ducati announced Jeremy Seewer as one of their riders for next year.
