Ducati has the most coveted seat in MotoGP for 2025, and they also have strong candidates for it. At the moment, everything points to Marc Márquez being the chosen one, but there are no official confirmations.
Meanwhile, the other constructors are waiting in anticipation. As the seat next to Francesco Bagnaia is the most attractive at the moment, riders at the end of their contracts don’t want to miss out on the opportunity. At the same time, the teams have to wait carefully to make the best possible decisions.
Miguel Oliveira, who is at Trackhouse and at the end of his contract, spoke to SportTV about Ducati’s lack of definition, admitting that it creates a certain nervousness in the rest of the squad:
– Ducati are clearly using the power they have of having the opportunity of having three [two, since Jorge Martín was announced by Aprilia in the meanwhile] very good riders in their structure. And so they’re taking advantage of the fact that they feel they have the rider market somewhat under control. In other words, it’s after their decision that other brands will make their decisions. And obviously they’re using this instability to create some nervousness, some anxiety in everyone.
