What a great race at Estoril, with history being written at this round of WSBK on Portuguese soil, culminating in Nicolò Bulega overtaking Toprak Razgatlioglu at the end, right at the finish line. Only 0.003s separated the two riders, the smallest margin in the history of the category to determine the winner.
Danilo Petrucci even started as the leader on the first lap, but he was beaten by Razgatlioglu on the second lap and the Turk dominated until the ninth lap, when everything changed and in an absolutely dramatic way for the Turk, who is aiming for the title of Superbike champion again, precisely with Bulega as his main opponent.
The Italian, coming from behind, gave it his all on the last lap and with a final attack ended up beating the #54, after they emerged on the finishing straight side by side and almost in a photo finish, with only 3 thousandths separating the front duo!
