Enthusiastic about the latest version of the Ducati Desmosedici, Jorge Martín explained that the 2024 model is “more in line” with its predecessor, with which he fought for the 2023 World Championship until the end. However, a more powerful model, he said, also brings other aspects that have to be managed and understood.
After stating that he prefers the 2024 bike, Martín also recalled the softer difference compared to his previous bike, unlike what happened from 2022 to 2023, but he also left a warning:
– I feel much less difference, the 2022 to the 2023 was an incredible step. The 2022 bike was very complicated and this one is more in line with the 2023, but with more power you usually have more problems in the corner exit, we’re trying to understand. Braking feels very good, with the 2022 bike there were some problems, and braking is a big part of this engine. I think we’re more competitive this season. We’ll see tomorrow with the fairing, it’s the package.
He concluded by explaining that there are other aspects that could help make this year’s model even better: ‘There are parts that can help and I feel that the 2024 bike is a bit better’.
