David Alonso’s season in Moto3 was marked by multiple records, winning the championship with apparent ease after an almost flawless run – 13 wins in 19 rounds.
The Colombian rider from CFMoto Aspar, who will move up to Moto2 next season, is widely regarded as a young talent with significant future potential and has garnered support within the paddock.
One of his supporters is Marc Márquez, who recently told DAZN: ‘I relate to him a lot. I love what I see in him. He is a sponge, asks questions, never tires of learning, and I really admire that’.
Throughout the season, Alonso achieved 13 wins and a podium, with his worst finish being 11th place at the Spanish GP. His seventh-place result at San Marino was the only other time he missed the top five, making him the only Moto3 rider to complete the season without any retirements.
