The Circuito Ricardo Tormo hosted the first test of the Moto3 World Championship for the 2024 season, featuring the new Pirelli tyres, this Monday. Daniel Holgado was the fastest, setting a new lap record on the track.
A significant number of riders set their best times in the second of three sessions, including Holgado. The Red Bull KTM Tech3 rider clocked a 1m37.300s to outpace José Antonio Rueda (Red Bull KTM Ajo) by 0.383s. However, Rueda set his best lap time only in FP3. David Alonso (GasGas Aspar) took third place, trailing by 0.675s, and was the last to break into the 1m37s.
Adrián Fernández (Leopard Racing/Honda) and rookie David Almansa (Rivacold Snipers Team/Honda) completed the top five, over eight tenths off the lead.
