The start of the MotoGP Malaysian GP race was marked by a frightening incident in which Jack Miller narrowly avoided being severely hit in the middle of the pack – though he was still hit.
None of the riders involved suffered serious injuries, but the situation sparked fear and concern at the time. Miller received medical attention on the spot before being taken to the medical center, where he was found to be unharmed.
Casey Stoner thinks Miller was fortunate that the accident occurred in that specific part of the track. The former rider told La Gazzetta dello Sport that it could have been much worse in a different place:
– Jack was lucky it happened in one of the slowest corners on the circuit; otherwise, the consequences would have been different. It was incredible to see his head turned like that and then moments later see him walking as if nothing had happened.
