Brembo, the global leader in braking systems, has just announced the acquisition of Öhlins, the Swedish manufacturer renowned for its high-performance suspensions. This transaction, valued at more than 370 million euros, marks the largest acquisition in the Italian company’s history.
Öhlins, with a strong presence in major motorsport championships including Formula 1, MotoGP, SBK, and NASCAR, is recognized for its technological excellence and constant innovation. The Swedish company has distinguished itself in the production of premium suspensions for motorcycles and automobiles, both for original equipment and the aftermarket.
Matteo Tiraboschi, Executive President of Brembo, expressed his enthusiasm for the acquisition: ‘Öhlins is a globally recognized brand with a solid business and an unparalleled reputation. This acquisition represents a unique opportunity to expand our offering in the automotive market and provide more integrated solutions to our customers’.

The transaction, which is still subject to approval by competition authorities, is expected to be completed in early 2025.
