Liberty Media will be the owner of MotoGP, in a deal announced in early April that promises to grow the premier category of motorcycle racing. Brad Binder is excited about the arrival of the new investors.
The Red Bull KTM rider highlighted in a press conference the media exposure that the American company was able to bring to Formula 1, believing in benefits for MotoGP as well:
– I think it’s very good. If you look at the level of Formula 1, it’s huge. Everyone who barely watches GPs or Formula 1 seems to know all the drivers. So, they did an incredible job in that sense and I’m sure it will be very good for MotoGP.
It is worth noting that Liberty Media acquired F1 in early 2017. Since then, there has been a great deal of work in marketing and promoting the championship, with a change in identity, but also the creation of a series on Netflix that skyrocketed the popularity of the category.
