After stating that his goal is to be in the top ten more and more often, Augusto Fernández made it clear that he wants to be closer to KTM’s future duo in 2025: Brad Binder and Pedro Acosta.
After achieving one of his best results of the season so far, the #37, who looks set to be a Yamaha test rider from 2025 onwards, said that he was still focused on his goals for the current season and that he wanted to be closer to his teammate and the South African on the factory KTM: ‘The goal from now until the end of the season is to get closer to Pedro and Brad, that first KTM. We don’t really know the position because this weekend they saved it with a third and fourth place, but lately we’ve been suffering a bit, but to be close to them would be good’.
As for the race itself, unlike most of the tracks on the MotoGP calendar, it ended up demanding a lot from the tires, which, combined with the state of the asphalt, hurt the rider:
– The tire suffered more on the left side, both rear and front. With the track so dirty, as well as wearing out, the tire breaks a lot if you want to use it and it was difficult to manage, but it was like that for everyone, I think.
