BMW Motorrad revealed updates to their mid-range motorcycles, the new BMW F 900 R and F 900 XR. These versions receive technical and visual improvements, along with significantly expanded standard equipment, consolidating themselves as dynamic options for road and long-distance travel.
Renewed Performance and Versatility
The BMW F 900 R, a sporty roadster, focuses on driving pleasure on winding routes, while the F 900 XR, a long-distance crossover, offers comfort for longer trips, even with luggage. Both are equipped with an 895 cc twin-cylinder engine, Euro 5+ approved, delivering 105 hp and a robust torque curve.
Now, they come with Dynamic riding mode as standard, offering a more sporty configuration. For greater safety, Dynamic Traction Control (DTC) and Motor Slip Regulation (MSR) are also included as standard.
Improved Suspension and Wheels
Both models come equipped with a new inverted telescopic suspension, with pre-load and compression and rebound damping adjustment. The new cast aluminum wheels, 1.8 kg lighter, contribute to a total weight reduction of 3 kg compared to previous versions.
The BMW Motorrad ABS Pro is now standard, ensuring greater safety when braking in curves, while Dynamic Brake Control (DBC) prevents involuntary acceleration during emergency braking.
