Preparations for the new World Superbike Championship season resume this week for several teams, including Bimota, which is conducting a two-day test in Jerez with two reinforcements.
Joining the main riders, Alex Lowes and Axel Bassani, are two newly introduced test riders: Xavi Artigas and Xavi Forés. These roles were also previously carried out by Florian Marino.
The three test riders were on track this Tuesday with the new KB998. Artigas, only 21 years old, competed in Moto2 last year, scoring points just once. Prior to that, he raced in Moto3.
Forés, 39, has extensive experience with production-derived motorcycles, including a championship title in IDM Superbike in 2014, as well as experience in the World Superbike and Supersport Championships, MotoAmerica, and the British Superbike Championship.
