The Aprilia Tuareg 660 has once again demonstrated its supremacy in the 2024 Italian Motorally Championship, claiming titles in two distinct categories during the final stages held in Olbia, Sardinia.
The motorcycle, which had already triumphed in 2023, proved unbeatable in the hands of Jacopo Cerutti, who secured the G-1000 class title for the second consecutive year. Cerutti dominated the season with impressive numbers: five victories and eight podiums in eight races in his category. The Italian rider also made history by achieving the first-ever overall victory for a twin-cylinder motorcycle during the Rapino stage.
In the FX class, dedicated to rally-raid motorcycles, Claudio Spanu lived up to expectations. In his debut year with the Tuareg 660, the Sardinian rider won both races in Olbia, securing the category title and demonstrating the exceptional versatility of the Italian machine.
The Tuareg 660, developed in collaboration with GCorse of the Guareschi brothers, established itself as the benchmark in the championship, combining performance and reliability. The partnership with Metzeler and its Karoo range proved crucial to the success, with tires specially developed for single and twin-cylinder motorcycles.
The Aprilia Tuareg Racing team is now preparing for the Africa Eco Race in December, where they will attempt to repeat last year’s historic victory.
