Last Friday, Aleix Espargaró attempted to compete in the MotoGP German GP, completing three laps in the first free practice session. However, he was unable to continue due to a finger injury sustained last weekend.
During the riders’ parade broadcast, the Spanish rider talked about how this round has been from the sidelines: ‘Trying to understand some other things from outside, staying in the garage with the team, and talking a bit with the riders. […]. Hopefully I can come back in Silverstone fully fit’.
Despite not being able to be on track due to his physical condition, Espargaró remained integrated within Aprilia. When asked how he can assist his teammate Maverick Viñales in this situation, the #41 replied:
– Trying to understand how the things are when we are not riding. Because there are a lot of things that we don’t know in the garage, the atmosphere in the team. I’ve been also in the truck trying to learn about my mates. It has been an interesting weekend so far.
