The Friday of the MotoGP Dutch GP wasn’t easy for Jorge Martín. However, the rider and Prima Pramac Racing reacted well, finishing second in today’s Sprint race.
Francesco Bagnaia (Ducati) took the win and was out of reach, crossing the finish line with a 2.355s lead. The Spanish rider, still leading the championship after this second place, stated in the official broadcast:
– After yesterday, I couldn’t expect to be on the podium today. I think we worked quite a lot during yesterday, during today, to try to understand, but Pecco is still in another planet. I tried to follow him, but I was struggling a lot with the front hard; I didn’t felt it to put it, but finally I put it, but the feeling wasn’t good.
Martín added: ‘Anyway I’m really happy to be on the podium here in Assen, in the Cathedral. Thanks to the fans, because it’s amazing how they cheer, and hopefully tomorrow I can be on the podium’.
