Less than two weeks ago, Fabio Quartararo matched his best result of the MotoGP season with a seventh-place finish at the San Marino GP. The following day, he finished fifth in the test session held at Misano.
The same circuit will host the Emilia Romagna GP this weekend. For the Monster Energy Yamaha rider, this will be an opportunity to gauge his situation after the promising test performance:
– We are back in Misano after the test and the first Race here. During the test we confirmed the chassis and tried some new settings. My overall placement was pretty good: fifth. But we know a test is not the same as a GP. After this race weekend, we will have a better understanding of where we stand.
With seven rounds left, Quartararo sits in 14th place in the championship with 61 points. He is 53 points away from the top ten and could be facing his worst season since joining the premier class in 2019.
